About us

Baby Umbrella is an award-winning small charity offering breastfeeding and early parenting support to families in West Kent. Our vision is for every family in West Kent to have access to skilled and compassionate support during their parenting journey. We are here to listen, support and empower parents to make the decisions that feel right for them and their babies.

Baby Umbrella runs free breastfeeding and early parenting support in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and online. We offer individual appointments with Lactation Consultants and Breastfeeding Counsellors and our Perinatal Listening Service offers additional emotional support. We also run support groups with trained Peer Supporters.

We see over 1,000 families a year and are open 49 weeks a year. We offer support with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, expressing breastmilk and introducing solids. We also support families with infant sleep, adjusting to parenthood and much more.

Our Team

Our team consists of our board of trustees, our management committee, our practitioners, peer supporters and volunteer hosts in our face to face groups, as well as various wonderful people who support our service behind the scenes.
